Greece: Business as Usual for Dream Marine

May 17, 2010

Clients of Dream Marine who are booked to cruise the Greek islands this summer do not need to worry about their holiday plans being disrupted by the financial turmoil that has been gripping the country of late. For Dream Marine it is still business as usual in Greek waters.

“We are constantly monitoring the situation in Greece and speaking to our local contacts in the region,” says Chris Yates, Dream Marine’s managing director. “At the moment we don’t foresee any disruption for our charters booked for Greece over summer. If the situation in Greece did deteriorate and offered any real threat to our clients, especially in terms of personal safety, we will reconsider our position.

“If required we can quickly relocate our yachts or clients to other ports and countries in the Mediterranean, but we expect the Greek ports and islands to be as welcoming as they have always been to the yachting fraternity. Tourism is important to the Greek economy, and at Dream Marine we will certainly do everything we can to support them. However our customers always come first, and so we will be doing what is in their best interest at all times. What I can promise is that if our clients want to take to the water in the Mediterranean this summer, nobody will miss out on their holiday or leisure time.”
